This product embeds and uses open-source software. We respect the copyright and license terms of that software and provide the following notices. In case of any discrepancy between this page and a license text, the license text prevails.

1. WLED Firmware (Lighting Engine)

This product ships with WLED, the addressable-LED (WS2812/SK6812) control firmware. Copyright: Copyright (c) 2016-present Christian Schwinne and individual WLED contributors. Project home: https://github.com/Aircoookie/WLED

V1 Controller (ESP32-S3)

Ships with WLED 0.14.x (the MIT-licensed versions released before the October 2024 license change), based on official 0.14.4/0.14.5 sources, with our local adaptations (Chinese UI, secure boot, etc.; the _P suffix marks our private branch).
License: MIT License. MIT permits modification, closed-source use and commercial distribution; it only requires retaining the copyright and permission notice.

V2 Controller (ESP32-P4 Touch Console)

Embeds WLED V5 (the EUPL v1.2-licensed V5 branch, continuing the 0.15 series) as its lighting engine, integrated with our touch-control software in a single firmware image, including platform adaptations (ESP32-P4/C6) and UI localisation.
License: EUPL v1.2 (a copyleft open-source license approved by OSI and FSF). Under Articles 3 and 5 of the EUPL v1.2, the source code of the modified WLED version we ship is **fully open-sourced** in the repository below (default branch V5-C6, including all 3 of our local modifications), so the source remains easily and freely accessible.

2. Touch-Control Software (Our Own)

The V2 touch applications (lighting control, climbing-route editor, speed-climb timing, stopwatch, settings, natural-language control) are developed independently by our company and work in the same firmware image as the WLED engine. Your rights to use and redistribute that software follow the terms published with the product; the embedded WLED engine always remains subject to its EUPL v1.2 license.

3. Accompanying Open-Source Components

The firmware also includes third-party components such as the ESP32 Arduino core (Espressif, LGPL-2.1), FastLED, NeoPixelBus, ArduinoJson, and ESPAsyncWebServer. Their copyright belongs to their respective authors; license information is set out in the LICENSE and notice files inside the WLED source repository. We thank all open-source contributors.

4. Trademark Notice

“WLED” and its logo are trademarks/branding of the WLED project and its rights holders. This product is independently developed commercial hardware. It is not an official WLED product and has not been endorsed, certified or sponsored by the WLED project. We only refer to the name to describe compatibility and software provenance.

5. Disclaimer

WLED and the accompanying open-source components are provided “AS IS” by their respective rights holders, without warranty of any kind, express or implied (including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement). Our company is responsible for our own hardware, assembly and integration services; defects in the open-source software itself are governed by the terms of their respective licenses.
